The Court of Assistants to the The Guild of Young Freemen is delighted to install Jacqueline Chan as our new Renter Warden at our most recent Installation Court meeting at Guildhall on the 21st of May 2025.

Jacqueline joined the Court in May 2024 having served on the Membership Committee since July 2023 and the Communications Committees since its establishment in July 2024. She has been a member of the Guild since May 2023 and has played a key role in the professionalisation of the organisation. 

Since joining the Guild, Jacqueline has interviewed over 150 prospective members, helping the Guild grow the Guilds membership. She supported the team in conducting thorough due diligence on prospective members, assessing candidates, and managing the overall administrative process. Additionally, her work was instrumental in professionalising the Guild’s public image by founding the Communications Committee and developing a strategic approach to communications. She has emphasised and helped implement the harmonisation of the Guild’s public platforms, which has grown the audience across its social media. 

Outside of the Guild, Jacqueline Chan is a Chartered Accountant, working as a financial auditor for the UK National Audit Office. Jacqueline is a member of the executive committee of St John Gateway, an organisation for individuals under 40 that supports the mission of the Most Venerable Order of St.John. 

She was made Freeman of the The Worshipful Company of Gold and Silver Wyre Drawers in 2022 before progressing to Liveryman in 2023, she contributed to the ‘Treasures of Gold and Silver Wire’ exhibition at Guildhall, which celebrated the 400th anniversary of the first charter of the Company. She has since been made a Freeman of The Ironmongers’ Company, one of the Great Twelve livery companies. In her spare time, Jacqueline enjoys reading about art and financial history.
