Renter Warden Rafael Steinmetz Leffa at the 309th Doggett’s Coat & Badge

Jul 21, 2023

On 19th July, Renter Warden, Rafael Steinmetz Leffa, had the incredible honour of representing the Guild of Young Freemen aboard The Havengore as a distinguished guest of Alderman Sir David Wootton. This past Wednesday marked the 309th Doggett’s Coat and Badge Wager, the oldest continuous boat race in the world, dating back to 1715!

In this photo, you can see our Renter Warden alongside Alderman Sir David Wootton and the winner of the Race in 1958, Robert George Crouch.

Congratulations to all the participants and the winner of Wednesday’s Doggett’s Coat and Badge Wager Mr Riess Ballard!
