May 2, 2025

George Godfrey, the Treasurer of the Guild of Young Freemen, was made Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Accountants last week at a special function at Tower Bridge. His clothing ceremony was also attended by fellow Court Assistants of the Guild of Young Freemen Jago Toner (Court Assistant and Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers) and Dmitry Lysenko (Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Chartered Accountants and the Worshipful Company of Joiners and Ceilers).

George joined the Worshipful Company of Chartered Accountants in February 2022 and was proposed by Kevin Parry OBE. He later co-founded the Young Members Group of the Livery in late 2024. Apart from the Chartered Accountants, George is also a Freeman of the Ironmongers’ Company.

The Guild of Young Freemen is proud to have representation of over 80 Livery Companies through its members, including those belonging to the Financial Services Group, which counts among its members many workers based in the City of London. With over 300 members, the Guild strives to act as a bridge between young professionals and institutions of the City of London.
