Affiliations

The Guild of Young Freemen builds strong connections with civic institutions, charities, and military organisations, following the long tradition of the City’s Livery Companies. These partnerships allow our members to take part in the life of the City, contribute to good causes, and support the Armed Forces.

Our affiliations

Unlike the older Livery Companies, we do not have centuries of history or large charitable funds. Instead, we focus on creating opportunities for young professionals to access City events, traditions, and networks that might otherwise feel out of reach. This helps our members integrate more fully into civic life and also provides Livery Companies with a reliable and resourceful pool of volunteers to support their charitable activities.

Through our civic, charitable, and military affiliations, the Guild offers members the chance to gain valuable experience, build friendships, and give back to the community—ensuring that the next generation is actively involved in the City’s unique heritage.
