On 25th November, the Guild of Young Freemen launched its Business Breakfast Series, inviting captains of industry and trade to speak to our members in an intimate and informal setting.
Guild members enjoyed an inspiring and candid, Chatham House-rule conversation with Tim Campbell MBE as he reflected on his journey as an entrepreneur, his work in philanthropy, and the lessons learned along the way. His openness, honesty and energy set exactly the tone we hoped this new series would embody, practical wisdom grounded in real experience, shared with the next generation of young professionals in the City.
We are deeply grateful to Ironmongers’ Hall for hosting us, and to Upper Warden Rafael Steinmetz Leffa and Court Assistant Lewis Hooper, whose leadership helped bring this series to life. The Guild’s Business Breakfast Series aims to convene business leaders, innovators and captains of industry with Young Freemen, creating a space for dialogue, reflection and mentorship at the heart of the Square Mile to promote more access and engagement between our ancient institutions and young people.
We were also proud to welcome two members of the latest cohort of Mansion House Scholars, Rodrigo Cid, CFA Cid and André Bertella, supporting them as they begin their journey in London and helping them connect with new friends in a warm and engaging environment.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this inaugural session — the first of many conversations designed to inspire, challenge, and empower the rising generation of civic and business leaders.
Above is a short video demonstrating how valuable these sessions can be, and how excited we all are for the next one in March
